Not confirmed. A 2022 Deccan Herald guide listed the lake park as pet-friendly, with dogs on a leash during its opening hours. The city's 2021 rule for its lakes keeps pets out during walkers' hours and asks for a muzzle. We found nothing newer, so read the board at the gate.

Why the sources disagree
The 2022 hours are the park's opening hours, when walkers are there too, while the 2021 lake rule keeps pets out of walkers' hours. The BBMP that made the lake rule has since been replaced by the Greater Bengaluru Authority and five city corporations, and we found no newer lake rule for dogs. (Deccan Herald, 16 Sep 2026) Our tip: Until the gate board says otherwise, take a leash, a basket muzzle (so your dog can still pant and drink) and the rabies record, and expect questions with any large or guarding breed.
