How FurFam works

FurFam is a free community of dog people helping each other. Need a hand with your dog, or love to give one? Here's how it goes.

Need a hand with your dog?

1. Tell us what would help: someone to have your dog to stay, someone to stay at your place, a walk or a day out, and where and when.
2. We get back to you when we find dog people in your area who'd love to help: sitters and dog lovers who have joined FurFam.
3. Meet and get to know each other, with your dog. Then plan the rest together on WhatsApp.

Love looking after dogs?

Join as a sitter or as a dog lover. Your profile isn't in a public list: when a dog parent in your area asks for a hand, we'll get back to you.

Community promises

Everyone who joins as a sitter or a dog lover promises to:

1. Be yourself: 18 or older, with your own name, photos and words.
2. Share your area, never your address, and keep phone numbers and links out of your text. Dog parents say hello through the WhatsApp button.
3. Be honest about yourself, your home and the dogs you've known. If money comes up, talk it over together; dog lovers help for the love of dogs.
4. Get to know each dog and its family before the first stay or walk on your own.
5. Look after every dog the way you'd want yours looked after.

If something isn't right, tell us with the "Tell us about a problem" link on any profile. We'll take a look, and take a profile down if we need to. You can pause or delete yours at any time from your profile's own page.
