Your dog won’t know it’s their birthday, but they’ll love the cake, and the friends. In Bangalore you can order a dog-safe cake for ₹500 to ₹1,500 and have it delivered the same day, or book a dog cafe or dog park for a party from about ₹2,500. You can also bake one at home in half an hour. Here’s what’s out there, as of October 2026, and how to keep the day fun for the dog and not just for the photos.

Dog cakes you can order

These bakers make cakes for dogs to eat: no chocolate, no sugar, nothing from a human bakery.

The Doggy Bakery. Oat or ragi bases with chicken, mutton or banana, and yoghurt or peanut butter frosting. Cakes start at about ₹700, breed-shaped ones at about ₹1,100. Same-day delivery in Bangalore on orders placed by 6 pm; give them two or three days for a custom design (The Doggy Bakery).

Pawlicious Bakes. A Bangalore baker taking orders on WhatsApp, with round, paw, bone and photo cakes, plus “pupcakes”. A 500 g veg cake is ₹495, a 1 kg one ₹865; chicken costs more. Order at least two days ahead (Pawlicious Bakes).

Happy Puppy Cakes. Chicken cake made with carrot, eggs and whole wheat, coloured with turmeric and beetroot, from ₹1,390 for a kilo. They say a 1 kg cake can be your dog’s lunch or dinner, so count it as a meal, not an extra.

Heads Up For Tails cake mix. No ready-made cake, but a ₹299 chicken cake mix: you add eggs, oil and yoghurt and bake it for 25 to 30 minutes.

A “dog birthday cake” at a regular bakery usually means a cake for people with a dog on it. Check before you order.

Bake one at home

The American Kennel Club’s dog birthday cake is about as simple as baking gets: 1 cup unsalted, xylitol-free peanut butter, 2 cups whole wheat atta, 1 tablespoon baking powder and 1 cup milk, baked at 190°C for about 20 minutes. Ice it with thick curd (dahi).

Read the peanut butter label. Some sugar-free nut butters contain xylitol, also called birch sugar, which the US FDA warns is dangerous for dogs. It can crash a dog’s blood sugar within 30 minutes. More in our first aid kit guide.

Where to have the party

TherPup, Whitefield. The dog cafe has birthday packages: decorations for ₹999, or cake and decorations for ₹2,499, with the cafe, play area and pool to use (TherPup). Ask what each package includes when you book.

Scentral Park, Devanahalli. The sensory garden for dogs adds a ₹2,499 birthday package (a dog cake, goodie bags and a photo booth) to a private or shared session, which you pay for separately (Scentral Park). Book ahead. More on Scentral Park.

Venus Pet Care, Banashankari. ₹4,000 for two hours, with their own small dogs joining in, music, the play area and an edited video. Bring your own cake. The pool costs extra (Venus Pet Care).

Pups N Cups, Haralur. Plans birthday parties too; ask for prices.

Or keep it at home or in your society park, with three or four dog friends your dog already likes. That’s often the happiest party of all.

People in Bangalore go big on this. In July 2026 the Deccan Herald found cafes hosting several dog birthdays a week, a few costing over ₹1 lakh. Some families mark the day with a feeding drive for street dogs instead.

Keeping it fun for the dog

  • Invite dogs that get along. Not every dog likes a crowd. Ask only dogs yours already plays with, and fewer is fine. The AKC says to match the guest list to your dog, and to pick a spot it can’t escape from (AKC).
  • More toys than dogs, so nobody fights over one, and someone keeping an eye on the games.
  • A quiet corner. Panting, pacing, hiding, yawning or lip licking mean a dog needs a break.
  • Watch the human food. Chocolate, grapes and raisins, onion, garlic and anything sugar-free are on the ASPCA’s list of foods to keep from dogs. Keep the guests’ cake and snacks up high.
  • Pick up the small stuff. Balloons, ribbons, candles and toy pieces can be chewed and swallowed. The PDSA says to call your vet straight away if you think something’s stuck (PDSA).
  • Skip the costume if your dog hates it. PDSA vets say costumes can stress pets. A bandana is enough.
  • Small slices. Treats, cake included, should be no more than about a tenth of the day’s food (AKC). Feed a little less at dinner.
